Albert was hired by Roger Corman in the 1950's to be art director, overseeing the design of all the fantastic low budget horror and science fiction film posters from American International Pictures, where he continued on as the primary art director for 17 years. He collaborated with previously mentioned poster artist Reynold Brown on many of the posters. I was surprised to find out that Albert was one of the co founders of the popular pancake franchise in America, The International House Of Pancakes.
The following pages are from the March 1988 issue of Cinefantastique.
I couldn't find anywhere online pointing to what artist created the following posters but given that they were made under AIP while Albert Kallis was the art director, and that they resemble his painting style, it seems safe to assume they were made by him, if not Reynold Brown. If anyone can clarify the artists of these I'd appreciate it!
There's unfortunately very few online articles devoted to Albert, and no websites to even mention, I did find a brief biography on his life at the Albert and Trudy Kallis foundation website here.
